Emma Crowe – Director
Emma is co-founder of CE Back Office, after working in recruitment within the family business, she then built a career within the payroll industry servicing recruitment agencies. Emma started the business along Andy as she wanted to create a business that offered the vast expertise of specialist payroll bureau to SMEs whilst having fun doing it. Emma’s speciality is understanding the technical implications of payroll but making them accessible for clients. Emma’s role is to look after our varied client base and deal with technical payroll queries.
Fun fact: Lived in Zermatt for 2 years.
Favourite film: James Bond (all of them!).
Key to success: Always treat people as you would like to be treated.
Andy Jones – Director
Andy’s background is in lean processing and six sigma within shared services. As well as overseeing the operational side of the business, Andy also heads up our transformation service delivery and is currently working on project with an international firm looking to centralise their global HR and payroll operations to Manchester.
Fun fact: Won gold for GB in the European triathlon championships. Andy is also learning German which he is practising on clients in Frankfurt.
Favourite film: Top gun
Key to success: Set goals, plan what’s needed to be done, then execute, just make sure you celebrate.
Mark Bentley – Director
Mark joins the leadership team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience across transformation and technology, with a specific skillset in HR transformations. Mark heads our transformation and technology proposition, helping clients shape, plan and deliver their strategic goals. He has experience across many sectors such as banking, insurance, technology and legal performing a broad range of delivery lead roles from programme management to technology design lead.
Mark is committed and delivery focused with a passion for ‘making it happen’ and he continually keeps the team on their toes with market leading approaches and technology.
Fun Fact: Mark continues to play football at a competitive level even though he’s in the twilight of his career.

Flo Partridge – Payroll Team Leader
Flo joined the team in August 2017 after completing her degree at the University of Manchester followed by travelling around Australia and Fiji. In addition to managing outsourced payroll services for her clients she is also responsible for managing the day to day work of the payroll team, this includes training, managing payroll work flow and any escalated payroll queries from the team. In the words of clients ‘We love Flo’.
Fun fact: Flo’s first name is actually Eleanor but everyone calls her Flo, which is her middle name.

Hayley Simpson – Payroll Account Manager

Winnie ensures the team take breaks by always offering to play fetch.
